We all know online shopping is on its verge, and people love to buy their favourite products online. Besides this, it provides a wide range of online sells for vendors. But online shopping is not all bed of roses. You need to observe what is good and fair, and that you may not get trapped with fake and lucrative offers, eventually resulting in a great loss. Here we have penned down some significant points of how we can consider online shopping as a boon and why it’s a bane for us. So here we go…..

Why is Online Shopping a boon?

1. Convenient Shopping

Either you shop at 5:00 AM early morning or 12:00 PM late night; it doesn’t matter. You are always free to browse your favourite things at e-commerce websites and even can drop them to your wishlist or shopping cart so that you can buy them later without the fear of losing it. Working women and especially moms are much adapted to online shopping now as they don’t need to spend long hours of window shopping along with their babies or have to skip office hours for a wedding or party shopping. Everything can be purchased online.

2. Price Comparisons

In online shopping, one can easily compare the price range between two or multiple brands or vendors and can better judge for the purchasing. No need to quarrel for long hours on a t-shirt or a pair of shoes. Just compare the prices according to your range and buy what you want.

3. Discounts and Notifications

Every online marketing platform wants customers returning for which it offers you cash-backs, discounts, and other lucrative goodies. However, this facility is less when you go out to your nearby market. You have to inquire a lot regarding the sales and upcoming offers, and you never know whether you are getting the right sales prices or not. In online shopping, the offers and deals are much likely to be authentic because no one wants to degrade their reputation. Hence, all kinds of e-commerce sites tend to provide authoritative information to their customers through notifications and latest offers.

1. Quality Illusion

Often we encounter such incidents that one of our friends has ordered something online, and when it delivers to them, the quality doesn’t seem the way it tended to be at the time of browsing. This gets hectic, especially when we need the product urgently and we have to return that due to its low quality whereas, the substitute takes time to get delivered. In offline shopping, this scene is less found. We go to the market, find products of our choice, test the quality by ourselves, and buy that. Hence, we buy what we exactly want without being trapped in any fake illusion.

2. Privacy and Security

If you’re going for online shopping, you have to provide your information such as name, email ID, debit card number, etc. and this data somewhere gets collected by the host sites. However, most of the sites are verified and give assurance to users’ data security yet, there is always a probability of data hacking, and no one wants to get their information leaked. In offline shopping, you don’t need to provide all this. It’s just a matter of barter. Take the product for its amount that’s it.

3. No Bargaining

You can’t bargain on a particular product if you’re going online. Although, you can have other options according to your budget discussing to reduce the price of a specific product is not in terms of online shopping, but it’s the most relevant thing when we go offline. We can discuss the costs, convince the vendors to reduce them, and even can exchange them after a week or two.

Hence, we can see that online marketing has its pros and cons. It’s beneficial if we value time and if we want more in quality and assurance, we should prefer to go offline. The choice is ours…
